Lareen and I spent Saturday evening in Hagerstown with Shannon and Jason, the new Mr. and Mrs. Dartis.  Shannon’s parent’s home was the beautiful site of the ceremony and reception.  Shannon was absolutely beautiful.  Everyone were very kind and cooperative and we had a great time.  Great Music!

I made it all day without a crutch for the first time.  I had my stiches taken out from my knee surgery on Wednesday and was pleased to find my self able to get around at the wedding without a crutch!

Knee Surgery and Beyond

Well, I had my surgery.  I had a tendon put in my knee from a cadaver, I am hoping that whoever owned that tendon before was more athletic than me, so I can at least be semi-athletic!

I severely underestimated how much this whole procedure would hurt.  Wow is this painful!  Stretching the tendon out is a long a  painful procedure.  After three PT sessions and home exercises I am able to bend my leg to 105 degrees, not enough to get along well, but a lot more than when I started.  I think the person who owned this tendon must have had legs the size of a barbie doll!  I still need a whole lot more stretching in order to be able to function normally again.  I hope I am not rambling too much, it looks like I am running out of pain medication!  Crap!
